A Few Important Parts

What is a PCV valve?

This stands for Positive Crankcase Ventilation, and it regulates pressure and flow of crankcase gas vapors into the engine’s emission control system and back to the combustion chambers. A clean PCV Valve reduces engine sludge, varnish buildup, and the amount of exhaust emissions that enter the environment.

What does a cabin air filter do? An air filter?

A Cabin Air Filter removes dust, smog, and up to 99.5% of pollen, mold and other allergen contaminants from incoming air during heater, air conditioner and vent use. When this filter is dirty, airflow is reduced, a foul smell may be evident, and there is potential for reduced heater and air conditioner efficiency.

The Air Filter removes dust from the air before it enters the combustion chamber. A clean filter helps maximize fuel mileage and engine life.
